Wasabi modchip
Some friends of mine that are happy owners of a Nintendo Wii had asked me for advice on installing a modchip. I can’t recommend nothing that I haven’t checked for myself, so I recommend all of them to install the Wasabi modchip. That’s the modchip that I installed on my legs-cuted D2B several months ago, and it worked fine, without any problem, all this time.
The Wasabi modchip supports all chipsets, from DMS to D2E and it’s DVD upgradable. I installed it using the WII-CLIP adapter so I just had to solder the F point. Using the useful tri-wing screwdriver and following the instructions of one of the many videos explaining how to open the Wii without breaking it :) the installation took only 10 minutes. Easy even for a non-hardware geek like me ;)
